Bright Lights
& Big City,
to me it was the land of Milk and Honey, Make Believe, glitz, glamour, and oh yeah beauty.
Recently I traveled out to Los Angeles (LA) infamous or famous LAX international
airport, depending on how you look at it. I have to begin this report/article by saying
that I had absolutely one of the best times of my life in the Land of Milk and Honey, and
before you ask, I did not see Paris Hilton, although I would imagine that to be a very
interesting and rewarding experience, I had other fish to fry. |

Everything in the LA area was totally an experience, from the plethora of Mercedes and
other super nice and expensive cars, to the ultra sleek and oh-so-cool society of Sunglass
City. Lets face it, if you did not have on a pair of sunglasses you simply just did
not fit in! At all! So from me to you that is rule number one, if you are planning a visit
to the Land of Make Believe for the first time, or even if |

you are a seasoned veteran traveler to LA, TAKE it from me, be prepared to
purchase a pair of sunglasses if you do not already own a pair. No need to go all out and
break the bank, a nice pair from your local Wal*Mart will do, just have a pair! |

Let me tell you, its just how they do it out in LA! I was even instructed by a very
nice lady while I was at a small coffee shop on Rodeo Drive having a bottle of water and a
cookie (that cost me about $5) to put my shades on. I had my regular
eyeglasses on and had my shades hanging from my t-shirt collar. I asked her why I needed
to put my shades on and she told me that, its just what you do
people here
wear shades to cover their soul, and your eyes are a window into your soul
and you
never want to go out bearing your soul, so you need to wear shares to cover your |
| soul
Needless to say I put my shades on and wore them
throughout the duration of my time on Rodeo Drive, which by the way is the most expensive |

| shopping area in LA. I was just there checking things out, not like I
could actually afford anything other than my bottle of water and one cookie.
It was a nice lunch however.
But that was only a tiny snapshot of all the fun I was fortunate to witness, create and
participate in while out on the west coast. I was in LA on official business,
but for now I want to share with you my experiences of all things good in LA that I got to
feel up close and personal, with exception ... |
