              Bold steps, Giant strides, and Heavenly hands are but a few of the precious graces bestowed upon, embraced and embodied by one of Northwest Arkansas’ most prominent business and life architects. The visionary leader birthed a universal legacy that will live on for many years and decades to come; long after he is gone his memory and works shall remain.

              On Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, Mr. Johnnie Bryan Hunt, Sr. (J.B. Hunt) slipped into heaven to claim his rightful place among so many other angels who were shrouded by universal and supreme favor over their lives, while they were here on Earth

to guide, support and inspire us all. The man, who I will occasionally refer to as “Mr. JB” in this article, was one of northwest Arkansas’ brightest stars, stewards and illuminators.
              Today countless buildings, trucks, and terminals bear the name of one of the greatest business leaders to ever call northwest Arkansas home. The region was fortunate to have such a humble, daring and giving universal servant grace the lands and touch so many lives with his heavenly hands. The self described, “Joseph”

(from the Bible – New Testament, King James version) reportedly slipped and fell on a piece of ice after leaving a restaurant near his home; he died on the seventh day of December in this the year of our Lord and savior 2006, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Ark. It was his “Last Supper” and his mortal life and legacy will be the “Holy Grail” for the residents of Northwest Arkansas.

              According to the obituary for “Mr. JB” entitled a Celebration of Life: J.B. Hunt, which was handed out at the home-going ceremony, Monday, Dec. 11th, 2006, he was born in Cleburne County, Ark. during the Great Depression. The “Life Celebration Ceremony,” eloquently ...
