| ...Bentonville, Arkansas (USA). I wanted to ask the man that occupies the
Office of the Chief Executive a few questions about Wal*Mart and his personal
philosophies. In my first article of this series entitled, Interacting
with a Giant; My Experience Interviewing: H. Lee Scott, Jr., CEO, Wal*Mart Stores, Inc.,
I candidly reported on my experience leading up to and subsequently resulting from an hour
and 18-minute-long riveting and impacting exchange with the Worlds largest CEO.
Here, however, I will share with you a snapshot of the 25 year journey to the top of the
largest corporation on planet Earth.
Business schools, liberal arts academies, technology institutes, and quite frankly, all
educational institutions can benefit from the absolute successful way in which Wal*Mart
has grown into one of the finest wonders of mankind, |

and hundreds-of-thousands of daily shoppers cannot ALL be wrong. In
theory, if everything in a textbook, with respect to business, philosophy and strategy
were all correct, then Wal*Mart should serve as a perfect case study for every example of
triumph and failure; |

the organizational brand and culture that Wal*Mart radiates and epitomizes. The
