| Wal-Mart has grown into a corporation with annual sales topping
244-billion dollars. With headquarters in Bentonville, Wal-Mart employs over 1-point 2
million people worldwide and approximately 19-thousand in Northwest Arkansas. Companies
are building vender sites by the dozen in Northwest Arkansas to be close to this retail
giant. |

Tyson Foods is another industry giant. It started with a single chicken hatchery in the
1940s and Tyson Foods is now the worlds largest producer, processor, and
marketer of chicken and poultry based products. It produces more chicken than Japan and
Great Britain combined and reaches up to $23 billion in sales annually. |

The third major employer in the area is J.B. Hunt Transport Services. This trucking
company employs over 24-hundred Northwest Arkansas residents and has 2-billion dollars in
revenue. J.B. Hunt is the nations largest publically held truckload carrier with
terminals located in 18 cities across the U.S. |
